WE BELIEVE IN THE TRANSFORMATIONAL POWER OF COMFORTJob Description SummaryThis position is responsible for safely providing predictive, preventative, and emergency mechanical and electrical maintenance services for production and infrastructure systems as necessary to maintain process efficiency for La-Z-Boy operations and facilities.
Job Description:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIESoPerform routine scheduled, preventive, and emergency maintenance on plant electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.
oInstall, repair, adjust, and test equipment and components to ensure that systems function properly.
oInspect or examine equipment, structures, materials, or components to identify causes of errors or identify defects.
oEffectively use computer to manage work orders, document work, and requisition parts/materials to accomplish required maintenance in an efficient and organized manner.
oCommunicate and cooperate with machine operators; operate equipment to detect equipment problems, analyze malfunctions, and verify system problems.
oDetermine correct types of equipment, tools, or materials needed to complete tasks.
oTest faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test equipment or software, and applying knowledge of the functional operation of electronic units and systems.
oWork effectively as a team-member and coordinate activities with others as needed.
oThe level three multi craft will be expected to be able to complete above responsibilities with minimal supervision or assistance.
They will be able to use mechanical, electrical equipment, techniques, and test equipment to conduct advanced trouble shooting and repairs.
Equipment would include but not limited to electrical multi-meter, dial indicators, strain gauges, belt tension gauges, belt wear gages, computer aids to read and manipulate ladder logic in PLCs and other controllers.
This role is expected to understand and demonstrate advanced skills in their field, mechanical or electrical.
oFollow health and safety standardsoMaintain a clean workplace following 5S standardsoPerform other tasks as assignedJOB REQUIREMENTS:
oEquivalent combination of education and experience to perform the above duties.
Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology, Mechatronics, Electrical and Instrumentation, Electro-Mechanical, Automated Manufacturing Technology or Electrical Engineering Technology preferred.
oMust be knowledgeable, adhere to, and enforce stated safety policies and procedures.
Incorporate and maintain safe behavior into all activities and consistently comply with all established safety and health policies and procedures.
oHas knowledge, training, 5 plus years' experience, and must be able to demonstrate mastery of the following-oAbility to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and document simple and complex machine malfunctions to mechanical and electrical components, devices, and/or systems.
oAbility to read and interpret technical documents including diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, schematics, or ladder logic diagrams.
oAbility to perform necessary welding, fabrication, and machine shop tasks incidental to maintenance and repair needs.
oEffective communication skills, both verbal and written.
oExcellent customer service skills.
